Don Guerino is one of the most modern and beautiful wineries in the country, surrounded by an area of 50 hectares of vineyards, in a unique landscape that enchants its visitors.
The dream of the Don Guerino winery was born in 2000, in the municipality of Alto Feliz, in the Serra Gaúcha, with the planting of the first vines.
The passion for winemaking was brought to Brazil from Italy by the first immigrants of the Motter family in 1880, and has been passed on from generation to generation.
The Motter Family carries with it the philosophy of wine as an expression of a lifestyle?. Since the beginning, the project has been committed to producing high quality wines, with excellence and professionalism, always seeking to be faithful to the land that originates them.
Its vineyards are located in the municipality of Alto Feliz in Serra Gaúcha, the largest and most important wine-growing region in Brazil. Its terroir has a particular micro climate, characterized by constant exposure to sunlight and ventilation, clayey and deep soils, with a temperate climate.
Prioritizing the care of the grapes with the concept that quality is born in the vineyard. They are aware that this is the decisive starting point and all efforts are focused on producing the highest quality grapes.
When visiting the winery, a story caught our attention, inside the factory, there was a Fiat600-1973, which winemaker Bruno Motter used during his Enology college in Argentina. In Mendoza, traveling through the main wine-growing areas, he fell in love with the vines, envisioning the possibility of implanting it in the vineyards of the Don Guerino winery, in Serra Gaúcha. In which it featured the winery's latest release, the first Brazilian Torrontés.
